The state of complete hopelessness that I had arrived at due to my drug addiction is difficult to truly describe unless you’ve experienced it. I had been struggling with drug addiction for over 10 years. I’ve been in and out of rehabs and sober livings and yet it seemed as though no matter where I went, nothing worked. I had lost my sense of self, and had no direction or purpose feeling as though I lost anything worthwhile in life.

When I arrived at Oak Forest Recovery I gained a sense that I was no longer alone. Being with a group of people who sole focus is recovery, helped me along my own journey. It was by no means easy, but with the help and the brotherhood I had around me at Oak Forest it was something I was able to accomplish. They have an amazing staff there that deeply cares for their clients.

The staff along with the friends I gained there help me to find a new direction and purpose in life. They provided me with everything I needed to succeed. Waking up early, going to meetings, and going to the gym everyday helped me to gain the life skills and confidence that I’ve never before experienced.

I am overwhelmed with a deep sense of gratitude for the experiences and relationships I’ve gained from being a part of Oak Forest. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me
