The Compound: A Highly Structured Sober Living Experience

Oak Forest Recovery Compound house
At The Compound, we believe that power is found in routine. For many young adults, maintaining a structured, consistent lifestyle is unfamiliar—but essential for long-term sobriety and success. That’s why we’ve designed a 90-day experience that immerses individuals in a highly structured daily routine, instilling the habits, discipline, and accountability necessary for a fulfilling, sober life.
Each weekday begins with a structured morning, reinforcing discipline and commitment:
  • 6:00 AM – Wake-up call, setting the tone for an intentional day.
  • 7:00 AM – Off-site AA meeting, fostering connection and accountability.
  • 8:15 AM – Gym session, emphasizing physical health and mental resilience.
  • 10:15 AM – 3:30 PM – Clinical immersion at our treatment center, where clients dive deep into therapeutic work.
  • 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM – Downtime and personal reflection.
  • Evening – Gender-specific AA meetings, reinforcing community and long-term recovery principles.
Weekends: Balance, Community & Real-Life Integration

We recognize that life isn’t just about structure—it’s about balance, enjoyment, and connection. Our weekend schedule reflects that:

  • Saturdays: Wake-up is at 10:00 AM, followed by an outdoor activity such as hiking in Malibu, going to the beach, or racing go-karts. The evening wraps up with a 7:00 PM AA meeting and a community gathering at a local BBQ restaurant, where alumni and community members come together in fellowship.
  • Sundays: Clients take ownership of preparing a Sunday brunch for family members and loved ones, fostering independence and connection. The remainder of the day is reserved for free time, concluding with a 6:00 PM AA meeting.

A Daily Routine That Builds a Strong Foundation

Designed for Real-Life Success
Our structure isn’t arbitrary—it’s intentional. The Compound is built to mirror real-life expectations, so individuals leave not just sober, but prepared for the responsibilities and rhythms of adulthood. From early wake-ups and work commitments to community engagement and personal accountability, every element of the program is designed to set clients up for success beyond their 90 days with us.
If you or a loved one is ready to commit to a life-changing experience, The Compound is here to provide the structure, support, and community to make lasting recovery a reality.
